In Vietnam today, schools, businesses, and airports have been shut down due to Typhoon Kajiki. According to the national weather forecasting agency, this powerful storm has winds reaching 103 mph, equivalent to a Category 2 hurricane in the Atlantic. The typhoon presents serious threats, including heavy rain, flash floods, landslides, destructive winds, and storm surges, leading to the evacuation of over 40,000 people from vulnerable low-lying regions, as reported by the state-run VN Express. "This is an extremely dangerous fast-moving storm," the government stated in a release on Sunday night, as covered by the media. Kajiki is the fifth typhoon to hit Vietnam this year, and it is considered the most powerful one.
