Wall Street's main indexes opened higher on Wednesday, with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq hitting record levels, fueled by growing optimism that the Federal Reserve might start a new cycle of monetary policy easing next month. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (.DJI) increased by 112.9 points, or 0.25%, at the start, reaching 44571.53. The S&P 500 (.SPX) rose by 16.9 points, or 0.26%, to 6462.67, while the Nasdaq Composite (.IXIC) climbed by 82.6 points, or 0.38%, to 21764.548.
