On Monday, a Tanzanian court banned the live broadcasting of treason trials involving Tundu Lissu, the main opposition leader in the East African country, who criticized the decision. Principal Resident Magistrate Franco Kiswaga explained that the ban would protect civilian prosecution witnesses, supporting a request from the state prosecutor who claimed it was crucial to maintain their anonymity.
