The Ghana Police Service, in collaboration with various security agencies, arrested Mr. Daniel Adomako, known on social media as 'Sir Obama Pokuase', earlier today. This arrest is part of ongoing intelligence-led operations by the Police and other security organizations aimed at dismantling networks involved in the illegal possession and display of advanced weaponry. He is currently assisting with investigations related to certain images and videos he shared on social media, showing individuals openly displaying these illegally acquired sophisticated weapons. These operations, ongoing for several weeks, have led to the substantial recovery of a significant amount of illegal firearms and ammunition. In a related case, three other individuals, Prince Ofori, Yayra Abiwu, and Emmanuel Kwakye, are in Police custody aiding the ongoing investigation into threats of death and the spread of false information following the recent helicopter crash. The Police Service reaffirms its unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens by eliminating criminal elements and curbing the proliferation of illegal arms. "We encourage the public to continue providing reliable information to assist us in these critical operations. Further updates will be shared as investigations progress, strictly adhering to due process," the police stated in a release.
