Kenyan financial institution KCB Group announces a 7% increase in pretax profit for the first half of the year

KCB Group, a Kenyan lender (KCB.NR), reported on Wednesday that its pretax profit for the first half of the year rose by 7%, fueled by an increase in interest income. The group, which operates in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda, and Burundi, stated that its first-half pretax profit climbed to 40.83 billion shillings ($317 million), compared to 38.11 billion shillings in the same period in 2024.
