Expect delays and cancellations if you have a flight with Air Canada. The airline is set to lock out its flight attendants after they voted to strike this weekend. Despite months of negotiations between the airline and the flight attendants' union, no tentative agreement was reached. As a result, 99.7% of the union's members voted in favor of striking, according to the union. Air Canada expects the first flights to be canceled today, with additional cancellations likely on Friday. The airline plans to halt operations on Saturday and may remain inactive until an agreement is achieved. Air Canada operates nearly 430 daily flights between Canada and the US across over 50 US airports.
