People experiencing homelessness in Washington, D.C., could be incarcerated if they fail to comply with President Donald Trump's efforts to reduce crime and remove homeless encampments in the U.S. capital, according to the White House on Tuesday. "Homeless individuals will have the option to leave their encampment, be taken to a shelter, and be offered addiction or mental health services; if they refuse, they may face fines or imprisonment," White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt told the press.
